Apple's MobileMe Gallery (http://appshopper.com/photography/mobileme-gallery) application has received a minor update today, fixing a few bugs while delivering new support for iPhone 4. With the update, the application can now download higher-resolution versions of images hosted on MobileMe when used on an iPhone 4 and connecting over Wi-Fi. The change allows users to take advantage of iPhone 4's 960 x 640 "Retina" display to view images in crisper detail.

Unfortunately, the update does not yet bring native iPad compatibility to the application, a feature which would seem to be a logical addition to allow users to browse their MobileMe image galleries on the device's larger screen.

I have upgrade my iBook OS, from OS922 to 10.3.8.
(iBook G3 800 MHz, 384 Mb SDRAM, HD 40Gb, ADSL256)

Before I erased all data on my hard disk to zero. Clean installation also.

After that, as a result, I have a corrupted display and a freezed iBook!
(see attached...)

BUT, if I boot the iBook without extensions, (safe boot),
it's ok....

I have no ideas how to solve this bug. I tried to re install twice, no more success... I run Disk Utility, TechToolsPro, DiskWarrior, nothing special...

I think to understand a System log could help.

What does <The "HasShadow" window property is obsolete> mean?
How, and where learn to use those system log?

I usually manage well my troobleshootings, but I'm not at all experienced in Unix, BSD, and System log.

The iPhone 4 was a failure at launch. The antenna is broken. It drops Internet connections and calls if held a certain. The glass claiming to be strong is weak sauce and the only good things on the phone are the cameras and screen.*
Am I the only one who feels this way?

The iPhone is still an amazingly awesome phone, so what for a tiny little issue.

I'm a premium subscriber so I am not sure if it works the same way for free account holders but when I open the client a little bar drops down at the top saying share Spotify with your friends or something similar. Click the link and it takes you to the relevant page.

How many times did you try the jb and what were you using? Pwnage or greenpoison? Just because the jb fails once doesn't mean that it was a disaster. Try the jb again.
At this point im just frustrated. I changed the host file with this ip 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com Then I followed all the steps and got 4.2.1 on. When I went to jailbreak, I got it into DFU mode but the jailbreak failed. Now I just want to update to 4.3 but I cant because I dont remember what I changed and replace with this 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com. Anybody know the original text so I can update to 4.3?

I'd give it a 9. The only knock against it being the ability to get in and mod it easily. I come from the PC world where I built my own machines and constantly tweaked and upgraded them over time. I've had my current iMac for 4 years and just ordered another of the new ones. They are incredibly powerful for an all-in-one and it just works. As it turns out I didn't really need to do much modding except for RAM, which is easy. I've had absolutely no problems with my current iMac. Wife is getting that one and my 7 yr old is getting her MacMini.

Oooh, I think I remember that vaguely...But four channels was the best. You had to use up two channels at a time to actually get the sound out of both speakers. But some of the music was *amazing*... Ahhh, good old 8-bit Ensoniq guts. :)

i actually use iXoft from TT, it actually pretty much cools down my MBP so far, i could tell that it at least lowers the temp by 2 - 3 degree

I didn't pay for the computer!!! it was given to me. I am giving the parents the eMac because xp is just a tad harder than os x ;) I also need a pc for a required computer class. I need to be able to take tests and stuff at home. I yes, I am going to switch back when the mac mini features a one of those intel mobile chips with low wattage.

however, I was angered at the fact that I brought my apple in-ear headphones in to get replaced because they stopped working after day 4 of having them (I didn't damage them) and they said, "we don't care about that right now...you'll have to come back after tomorrow." I understand that they are busy, but A) they sold me a faulty product that I want replaced B) I'm a valuable customer C) It's a huge inconvenience for me to return to Easton to take care of it.

I understand your pain... but they aren't open to take returns. Remember that they are open early specifically for the iPhone launch. Had they told you the same thing during normal business hours I would understand your anger, but you have to admit that they somewhat did the right thing... Maybe could have handled it a bit different.

They are there at that time specifically for the iPhone release... dealing with other issues takes away from the entire reason they are even open and delays others from receiving their phone.

If I were you I would go back this afternoon during normal business hours... if they still refuse then you have every right to be angry.

The way I read this article is: Apple is going for that little bit more,which cost a bit more also but they know that the potential clients are willing to afford it so why wouldn't they do it? Samsung can't afford the same move so they cry out loud saying their better...
(Ok maybe it's a little exaggerated but you get the idea...)

I will be there for around 1pm. I have scheduled around this day with my only client meeting ending at 11am. My friend will be looking after my business for the day and trying his best not to interrupt me. I will be wearing a brown jacket and probably carrying a black leather bag, if you see me say hi.
If anyone wants to buddy up in the queue then either PM me or leave a reply here and we can arrange something. It would be nice to have someone to chat to and to help hold places if we need the loo :D

I would suggest checking the iPhone forum for similar issues and suggestions....

I believe the latest suggestion is to shut the ipod/iphone off, plug it into the head unit, and then restart the ipod.

Another option was to "re-pair" the device with the head unit.
I agree. If this doesnt work you should probably try downgrading to 3.1.2 (no downgrades to 3.1.3).

Have you tried a PRAM and/or SMC reset already?
PRAM/NVRAM has nothing to do with the OP's issue.

When to reset NVRAM or PRAM (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1895)

SMC might help with some fan, unexpected power-offs or slow performance issues, but not heat-related shutdowns, as the OP described.
