I have a request / concern / what ever you would say.
Please do not cirtize if you do not like the idea, just ignore and leave the thread.
There are so many people comming to IV for other experts guidance on different things mainly on H1B status, AC21 status, AP, FP, EAD and H4 to EAD, .....
Why don't you create a general guide lines or rules or do's and don't or QA's for each topic, so that each member or visitor who come to IV can atleast go through them before asking or posting quesitons.
You can create a survery for different kinds of questions people / members / visitors might ask or have fore each topic before creating the thread so that we can have a pool of questions and answers for each topic from experts or attorney answered. (you might say we have recordings from attorney Prashanti Reddy, but it would be good if we have some thing which can be referred easily i.e., typed.
These are just some of my thoughts, it can or cannot be implemented. It depeneds on IV admins/Gurus/Experts on this forum.
Gurus, please provide your thoughts.

if u file for 140, chances are that it will get approved before may 2007 is high. If u have an approved 140, you can get 3 year extension. If you seek extension based on labor, you will get 1 year extension. I recommend u to apply for 140 (if possible premium) ASAP. Even otherwise,you are fine to get an year of extension.

Hi, I am an Indian citizen working on a H1b visa. I need a Canadian tourist visa (TRV). I am planning to go to the Canadian consulate in Detroit. Would you know if Canadian Detroit consulate allows walk-in visa appointments. Is there any specific day or time when they permit walk-ins and how long does it take to get stamping. If Detroit does not, does consulate at Seattle or Buffalo allow walk-ins.

EB3 is an overloaded ship, either you had to abandon(read porting to Eb2) or unload few of them (removing 245(i) cases from Eb3) to reach the target.
Abandoning can take an year for most of us - PERM Approval time line for now.
Unloading will never happen in this economic scenario
So we had to look for lifeboat saving to do the miracle. If any one finds it let me know am ready to grab it.

You could have asked for the old I-140 priority date to be tranferred to the new I-140 at the time of filing the I-140. Now that the I-140 is already approved, it will be difficult to get them to make any changes on an approved I-140. Interfiling of new I-140 with old I-485 is possible once the visa number becomes available. The problem is that USCIS does not always acknowledge that they have done this, therefore you might be unsure if this was done or not. Some people prefer to file a new I-485 for this reason.

I have also been denied an H1b visa this year.. Though I had a strong IT background in a very sought after technology, I dont know what went wrong..
Did you re-appeal for it? How did it go? what is your status now.. i am eager to hear back from you as it would be help me know the process better..

I had applied for my EAD , AOS on July 30th. I did received my EAD and I-485 receipts.But my wife never received hers, on contacting USCIS I came to know they had my address wrong .Receipts & EAD are delivered to my neighbours mail box,it seems they trashed all documents, I don't know what else I can do.

Yes, she can come on H4 even she applied for I-485 , only if you are r still on H1B . If u or ur wife dont want to use EAD in near future then it is better to bring her on H4. otherwise coming back on H4 or AP does not make any difference.
