I need to travel to UK for 2-3 days next week.
Am I eligible to get the Visa stamping done in London?
It is very unikely that the US consulate in London will accept your visa application unless you have close ties to the UK. You will probably need to apply in India, or consider Canada or Mexico.

Guys lets us get together all the MOST Unlucky EB2 India I485 apllicants !!!
We need to do something differnt.
We have already done enough like Writting to senators , Congressmen, Raising SR etc.

how are you planning on getting the deposit slip stamped in ScotiaBank?

I took the stamped deposit slip the same day morning at 9 AM (My appointment at 10 AM). I am sure you already looked at the nearest scotia bank locations in Ottawa. It takes only couple of minutes for the teller to stamp the slips.

Because if the person applying via EB based Green Card is married and if has children that many number of visas are used up when his application is approved, so even the petition was done for just 1 person, possibly, 2-3 unnecessary visas are being used up.

We had the same situation with my wife's H1-B. We spoke to the lawyer and he had forwarded us an e-mail reply from USCIS, stating that USCIS had decided to issue the validity of 797 from the date of adjudication or approved date rather than from the previous expired h1B date and this is not happening across all the cases. I also have applied at the same time as my wife's h1 and My h1b dates are matching.

The booth has been booked and the menu has been finalized. All we need now is an enthusiastic bunch of volunteers who can help raise some funds for IV.
Since this is our first time doing a food event, we are trying to keep our goals modest and hope to raise around $400.
It would help if any of you have any experience and can share your tips with us.
Hoping to have lots more volunteers!

Now both companies A and B made a joint venture (JV) and made company �c� joining company �a� and �b�.
Company A has 25% stake and company B has 75% stake in JV(Company "c"). The new formed company "c" has �new name�, all employees filed �new employment applications� and have �offered a new employment� with the new company �c�
Now my question is as this company �c� is totally �new�, can I convert my EB3 case to EB2 and use company �a� experience and file for EB2 with company �c�

I am bumping this poll up again so that it gets more visibility now as many folks are trying to check for VB updates.

My wife did call the National Customer Service Center and opened a service request too. But we have not heard anything yet. We tried getting an infopass appointment but none is available in our area. Myself(Husband) & mywife both came on H1B from same employer.
My son got H4 visa through my wife H1B visa.
I (Husband) applied for green card and got EAD for myself & mywife , got Advance parole for myself, mywife & myson and are in 485 pending AOS status,
My Wife is taking permanent job with EAD (EAD is through my Greencard process)
If employer cancels my wife H1B she will come to EAD status.
I am not sure what will be the status of my son who is currently on H4 visa through my wife H1B visa.
My son got Advance Parole and 485 pending status through my green card.
Do I need to apply for H4 visa for my son or will my son be ok on pending AOS status ?
His status is AOS. Unless a decision is made on your GC he needs no other visa or documentation to be in USA. If your GC application gets denied (Should not happen ever) then you lose AOS and you will have to talk to an attorney to see how long you can be in US - for the sake of filing an MTR etc.
Once a person files for 485 and application is pending a decision they can be in US without a VISA. If you travel outta US and needs re-entry that could be done useing AP. Hope this helps........

I have applied 485 in July 2, 2007. Note that my PD Jan 2001 - EB3 (priority dated ported) And I140 is already approved. I have done FP in Oct 2007. Received EAD and AP way back.But I saw LUD on my 485 application on Dec 14, 2007.
Does this mean any thing. Message content is not changed though.
