My sister applied for her EAD renewal online and paid $340 for it. She filed her I 485 in Oct 2007. There are instructions on the I 765 form that there is no fee for those who filed there first EAD after July 2007. So would that fee be refunded? Has anyone experienced this kind of thing?

My employer mentioned that my job description is Senior Analyst in the application. Does that mean I have to be a Senior Analyst till the time I get GC ? Cant I take up another job like Architect ?
Also, for 140 application do I have to sign on any PERM labor related document ?

Hi,
I got my EAD recenltly and my I140 approved long time back but my employer is keeping my I140 receipt number as a secret (both HR and attorney). Is there any way i can get I140 receipt number? do i need this if i want to use AC21 before or after 180 days ?

Hello,
Any suggestion on a good immigration Attorney in NY state ? Please recomend. Employer says I can use my own attorney. So I need to find a good Attornye who can file PERM in NY state as the employer is in NY/NJ area

Pl. advise what all documents do I need to send to USCIS for extending stay on visitor visa for my parents.From all the sources I read so far here is the list of documents that I feel that needs to included :
1)I-539
2)Letter to USCIS (from me the sponsor) explaining the reason for extending the stay.Please post any letter format that I can use.
3)Copy of parents passport
4)Copy of I-94
5)Copy of original return ticket (with return date in 6 month from 1st entry)
6)$300 fees
Questions :
Do I need to sent I-131
Do I need to send bank statement and recenet paychecks
Do I need to buy new ticket for extended date and send a copy?
This is a last minute decision.I-94 expires in 3 weeks.PLease help .

If you have successfully transfered your PD after your I-140 approval. Please post your experience.
I have seen I-140 threads for a while ..everyone have a opinion ..but none of you have gone through it....its misleading we can quote different websites and USICS documents ..only people who actually transfered PD can share. How they did it. Whats the process. Please respond to this thread only if you have successfully transfered PD after I-140 approval.

I've got some questions/comment to understand your situation
1. How do you know it is stuck in security check? What is your attorney's suggestion
For regular EB applications you can apply for 485 when priority date is current
2. EAD is generally adjudicated within 90 days
3. She should have a visa of her own - if she cannot be your dependant

I work for company A which sponsored my L1B (my current visa status). Also, few years back company B sponsored my H1B which for some reason I did not utilize (did not even get it stamped) and hence company B cancelled it. Now my questions are -
1. Can L1-B be transferred to H1-B without going through a new visa application?
2. Can the cancelled H1-B be re-instated and utilized?
3. If another company C applies for my H1-B what are the chances of getting it looking at the current work visa regulations and prospective changes? Will my past petition of H1-B cause some issues with consulate?
4. My wife is on L2 and as EAD. Once I file for change of status will the EAD still be valid or it will automatically be void?
Please Help...
